Owner of Kitco Builders Dave Sharp started his career as a carpenter over 25 years ago and has been handcrafting, supplying and installing timber and steel wall frames, roofs and floor trusses ever since! Following on from his successful building business Eazy Home Australia, Dave started Kitco Builders to meet the need in the market for premium yet cost-effective kit homes in Western Australia.

We made our decision after approaching other builders and felt they were not encompassing our personal preferences and had extended building programmes. Kitco homes, completed the build of my house at the end of June this year. I worked with a draftsperson to finalise the design, and what we came up with was a two storey home on a small block (220m2)
From the time I took the drawings to Ben at Kitco, I found them brilliant to work with. Ben answered all my queries, of which due to being a perfecionist where quite numerous.
Ben was my primary contact at Kitco. And he was brilliant to work with, being a two stoey custom build, there where quite a few complexities and issues to be worked through as we went along, and every time they arose Ben worked with me and addressed everything promptly and professionally, further to that, Ben was really good at keeping me informed of progress, with weekly updates and more often during key stages, which was great, and made me feel involved and at ease, that everything was progressing as per plan.
The house was completed within 6 months, and I am really happy with the home that I now live in. I would have no issue recommending Kitco Builders.

We asked Kitco Builders for a quote to build our new house, about 400km north of Perth. Their quote was very attractive right from the start, and we then asked them to get the ball rolling. It was a pleasure to work with Ben, who guided us through the design and supervised the build. His professional approach made the whole process easy and relaxed, and every question we had was answered, usually in a same-day email reply. The build itself went really well and to a very high standard. Even when we decided to make a change to the location of a door, when the original was already placed in the location on the drawing, he didn't flinch and organised the change. Couldn't have asked for more, really. The end result is exactly what we had in mind. Well done!

I have read the previous reviews and could not agree more with the comments made.
Our home was a different and difficult build for Kitco due to its location on a steep sloping block and a large amount of rock breaking required, however this did not deter Dave, Ben and the excellent tradies that managed and constructed our beautiful home.
Because it is a one off home, largely designed by ourselves there were numerous changes along the way that didn't deter Ben at all, and the cost of the changes were very reasonable. If this had been one of the large commercial builders the changes would have been almost impossible or at the very least very expensive.
I can't recommend Kitco highly enough for the quality of the build and their efficiency. My wife and I would build with them again in a flash.

Kitco builders was recommended to us by a very good friend that put us in touch with Dave and Ben.
Our situation was a little different in the sense that we have a 24-year-old son who is in a wheelchair, we were 1st homeowners and required something unique and also to suit Jake’s requirements.
We appreciated Ben’s professionalism and regular updates on the build. Even when we had to make changes to accommodate Jake’s needs Kitco was very understanding and made it happen.
Our home took approximately 7 months from pad to lockup and is 2-storey with 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and 2 kitchens - which in itself is unique.

We have been living in our granny flat (beach cottage) built by Kitco for two months now and we absolutely love it. The feel, space, quality every part of it does not feel like a granny flat at all.
Kitco have been the ideal builders, always professional, flexible and responsive to my requests throughout the build and afterwards.
From our initial meeting with Dave the owner, our interactions with Ben overseeing our build and Sam on the ground every interaction has been positive.
Our situation was a little unique as my husband Kev has younger onset Alzheimer’s, he was diagnosed at age 56 and had to retire. By the time we were both 60 I had to face the reality that I would have to retire as well to care for him, I’d have sell our family home that Kev built himself over 30 years ago. Together with our adult kids we decided to build a granny flat at our eldest daughters and son in laws home as a long-term solution.
However, we didn’t feel we were ready for this drastic type of downsizing so I sought out an architect that specialised in different types of downsizing projects to ensure we would have the best design we could afford. Meriam Salama from The Henry Project was fantastic and designed a home that incorporated elements important to both Kev & I as well as a design that would accommodate Kev’s physical needs as the disease progresses. She worked on our behalf to find a builder that would be understanding of our daily changing circumstances as Kev’s disease progressed during the contract & building process.
As Kev had worked in the building industry we required the builder to be able to allow him the opportunity to be on the site and involve him where appropriate. All of Kitco staff were accommodating, friendly and respectful, as were all the trades. Kev got on with all of them which was important as we lived in a van adjacent to the build throughout the project.
The chippy team were on site the most lead by owner Villy from Timber Home Specialist. They were especially wonderful with Kev as well as delivered absolute top quality workmanship. Woodwork was Kevs area of expertise and he would inspect everything Villy and his team would do then shake their hands and tell me they were all “top blokes doing a top job”!
